Not long after his arrival, Si Ye mentioned his plans to watch Constantine in the theatres. As we had similar plans, we tagged along offered our companionship. It...er...didn't quite work out that way though, and we ended up in Orchard aimlessly instead. ^^;;
Si Ye : I can almost bring myself to forgive you for reneging on your promise to watch the movie...
Si Ye : ...but for forcing me to pose in the female washroom?
M : What, I thought it made a nice backdrop. XD You want a change of scenery?
One relocation to Kinokuniya later...
Si Ye : ...
Si Ye : If you're trying to get me to admit that even the female washroom was better...
M : Okay, okay...
One relocation in Kinokuniya later...
M : Okay, that's enough photos for now. We're leaving.
...Hello? Si Ye? We're leaving? Hellooo?
Si Ye : Hmm?
M : We're going! Hello!!!
Si Ye : Mm...
Jun : ^^;; I had this odd premonition it would be a bad idea to bring him to the fashion section...
Finally...
Si Ye : ...And just as I was starting to enjoy myself too. You really do know how to spoil a good -
Si Ye : - oh.
Si Ye : I don't suppose you'll let me spare a few minutes?
M : We have to gooooooo~
Si Ye : Figures.
Si Ye : At least the Mont Blanc store is already closed...
Si Ye : ...not that I'd have much use for such pens now...
M : Hellooooo? We're going, remember?
Si Ye : By all means, do, rend me from my solace.
M : Actually, it looked more like we were saving you from a lifetime of angst. XP
Jun : And besides, I think this next place you'd want to go. ^^
Si Ye : ...Alright, yes. The timing is fortuitous.
Jun : ^___^
Si Ye : I'd been hoping to pick up a physical copy of - oh, darn.
M : That's a fine piece of irony right there. :D
Si Ye : Please don't start. -_-;;
Jun : Er...let's go for dinner, shall we? ^^;;
On our way, we spot a Chinese lantern display...
Si Ye : No, I don't find it amusing. It's not as if you aren't Chinese yourself.
M : But we're not from China, it's different. >D
Moving on, we cross through underpasses to get to sustenance...
Si Ye : You wouldn't particularly want me to recommend a couple of clubs with passable dining around here, would you?
M : O_O You know the clubs around here?!
Jun : O_O You know clubs?!
Si Ye : ...I'm nineteen, you know. Not nine. You get some pretty good music at clubs, and there are some really talented DJs on the circuit these days.
Jun : Oh, come on, you expect us to believe your club-hopping is purely music-educational? >D
Si Ye : Believe what you would like to believe. I have not a mark on my conscience.
Si Ye : Which is a different matter for you - why couldn't we just have gone to watch Constantine?
Jun : XD;; The tickets sold out.
Si Ye : Haven't you ever heard of Internet booking?
Jun : ^^;; No credit card.
Si Ye : Heavens. And you assured me you would take care of everything.
Jun : Sorry. ^^;;
Si Ye : I suppose it'll have to wait for another time.
Jun : Dome lights are pretty, aren't they? ^^
Si Ye : ...It could be worse.
Jun : Oh come one, just admit it. It won't kill you.
Si Ye : Yes, yes. They're pretty. Don't think I can't tell you're just trying to change the subject.
Jun : XD;;
Though we eventually arrive at the Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf of our aim, we belatedly realised that it was a mini-outlet that, did not, in fact, serve food. And so, confectionaries for dinner...
Si Ye : You can have it, I'm not hungry.
Jun : Not hungry? We haven't seen you eat anything the whole day!
M : Is this about Keanu Reeves? Because if it's about Keanu Reeves, we promise, we will go see Constantine before the week is out.
Si Ye : No, it's not about Keanu Reeves - I'm just not hungry.
M : Is this about your brother? Because if it's about your brother, I tell you, while I can't really remember us eating anything much the week our mom died, we were soon rediscovering the human property of hunger the week after. It's been months! Eat up!
Si Ye : ...
Jun : ...I see tact is not an entry in your dictionary. Look. Si Ye. Your brother wouldn't want you to starve yourself because of him.
Si Ye : ...That is the lamest dead-relative-line I've ever heard.
Jun : ^^;; So sue me. Hong Kong drama serials swear it works.
Si Ye : Hong Kong drama serials. I never touch the stuff.
Jun : ^^;; Me neither. It's a leftover from when our mom was alive.
M : Just eat, will ya?
Si Ye : I suppose it's vaguely refreshing to live with people immune to the sympathy card. Well, I'm still not hungry, but I've always been partial to pastries.
M : Hey! Not all of them! What about us?!
Si Ye : You told me to eat. So I will.
Jun + M : T___T
