The Doll Affair 2009: Tea-Washed

Con Report

The Doll Affair 2009
...as according to M...

Another year of toiling gone by; though my time of toiling specifically for The Doll Affair was really
quite short because my exams ended not long ago in December. Oy vey! Somehow I managed to
eke out 9 pieces of clothes, though small and three each of three designs; we finished up the stock
a couple of days earlier, and fixed up the booth in a neat little package to bring. Well - what else
could it be but Yo-SD.

Blow Away~ is the last one I worked on of the designs because it had applique and lining. This
was my first experience with appliques and funny enough, probably the oldest conceived design
[had its thematic basics in an old notebook]. Jun suggested the neck-ribbon, which completed it.
This one was my favourite of the set and I was really surprised [and very pleased] to sell out of it.

Roserade was the first I worked on [and last we finished, because Jun gradient-dyed it and I
stitched the roses; the base dress I designed, Jun added the important design embellishments] and
the faux cheesecloth ran me over again. I'm glad that it proved its worth; it sold out first and had a
few people coming after to lament about it. Sorry I couldn't make more!

Superherompers was what I made the Yo-SD pants pattern for! None of it sold. 8D; So if you're
interested in it and its 'unique clothesline design' [yes, it comes with the pegs and string-belt] for
USD25 do let me know. Just to note, as you can see, it's nicely and intentionally form-fitting, so it's a
little harder to slip on. It may be easier to put on for thinner tinies.

Thank you so much to the members of the BJD community who passed by, had a good look, took
pictures, complimented us on the set-up and the clothes. I've been out of the loop for a long time
and I've got a brain like a sieve, and I'm glad you enjoyed the booth in various ways.
