Crossed Paths - Chapter 1
by Elysion Gear

"Seishurou-sama! Seishurou-sama!" the bespectacled young boy walked quickly through the train, trailing behind another boy with dark hair. "Seishurou-sama, wait." Suiya Tsukisou ducked under and wriggled around the other passengers.
The other boy pushed on ahead ignoring the calls of his servant. Kinjyou Seishurou found an empty booth and closed the door. He wasn't happy with being sent on ahead while his father stayed behind to finalize a business deal. Seishurou brushed back the dark hair that hung behind his ears. At age 12, the boy was in his rebellious stage. He cursed softly under his breath when he heard a knock at the door. "This booth's taken."
The door opened a crack; grey eye peered around the door. With a sigh, Seishurou reclined on the seat crossing his arms "Come in Tsuki." Relieved, Tsukisou entered the booth and lifted the bags he was carrying onto the luggage rack overhead. He sat on the facing seat, near the door, in case Seishurou called him to run an errand. Though a year his junior, Tsukisou had a quiet, calm patience, rare in one as young as he. A trait that sometimes annoyed the young master he served.
Seishurou had often baited his young companion, with words, actions....but nothing seemed to faze him. As the train began to move, Sei's mind began to work, thinking about how to get a reaction out Tsukisou.

He made it just in time. The young man eased into the second class seat as the train pulled away from the station. Sabyien huffed and unfolded a letter, it read:

Dearest Sabyien,
I have received word that the Kinjyou-boy is being targeted by an extremist group in an effort to impede our expansion into Japan. Please, protect this boy.

Yours always,
Misha

With the letter was a photo of the Kinjyou-boy. Sabyien inspected the photo of a young boy.
"...they are going to try and get a ransom?"

Seishurou crossed his arms; Tsukisou was looking out the window watching the country-side pass by. The boy had his nose pressed to the glass an hour after the train left the station, his eyes wide in boyish wonder at the beauty of the Canadian Rockies. Sei huffed. "Tsukisou -"
"Yes? Seishurou-Sama?"
"I'm thirsty...."
"Shall I get you something from the dining car?"
"…A bottle of Pepsi."
"I'll be right back." Tsukisou put down the guidebook he was holding and exited the compartment.
Walking down the train, Tsuki was curiously looking at the faces of the people he passed by, mostly North Americans. As he walked by the second class seats his eyes fell on a form sitting alone.
He judged the young man to be in his late teens or early twenties, with the kind of face that defied age and time, almost too fine and lovely to be a male's. The boy was momentarily captivated by the intensity of the eyes.
Tsukisou blinked as the young man noticed him and gave the boy a nod of acknowledgment, his deep cobalt eyes flickered in recognition.
Suppressing a question, Tsukisou blushed and walked pass him. Setting his mind on the task at hand he tried to dismiss the man from his mind.

Sabyien frowned, that boy with the glasses he'd just seen was the Kinjyou-boy's companion. One corner of his mouth quirked, he was rather cute in a way. But he had wait and see if the 'Red Snake' where actually targeting this boy.

Seishurou didn't glance up when Tsukisou came back in. The servant-boy was panting from his swift walk down the cars, he held out the bottled drink, "Here is your drink, Sei-"
"I asked for a diet Pepsi, not a regular one." Seishurou cut him off mid-sentence.
Tsuki blinked, He didn't recall Seishurou asking for a -Diet- Pepsi.
"Yes Sir, It must be my mistake....I'll be right back." He turned to leave the compartment. But Seishurou reached over and grabbed his hand. Tsukisou winced inwardly; he was going to get hit by the older boy.
"A mistake that you'll never make again" There was anger in Seishurou's voice.
Tsukisou braced himself for the blow, and was completely taken off-guard when Seishurou leaned closer and pressed his lips on Tsukisou's.
The younger boy gasped and drew back; Seishurou gripped his hand even tighter. "Listen; do as I say....I want you to kiss me back understand?"
Mute in shock, Tsukisou nodded hesitatingly, shaken by his young master's actions.
Seishurou smiled, this was a better reaction then he thought. The once calm collected boy was making odd sounds in his throat and shaking like a leaf.
The young master pushed his servant down on the seat, smiling in his new-found dominance over him.'...this was rather exciting.' Was Seishurou’s thought as he lowered his head to kiss him again. Tsukisou's lips were moist and soft, and like the rest of him, shaking in fear and in uncertainty.
He tried to follow the order, to kiss him back, but he wasn't sure how.....Tsukisou's eyes widened when Seishurou slid his tongue between his lips, he whimpered.
He was grinning; His servant was making this fun for him. Seishurou has seen a few late-night movies in which a male would kiss a woman this way. He wanted to laugh, this playacting....He broke the kiss and smiled down....his smile faded when he saw the face looking up at him, sweetly flushed, lips parted, breaths coming in short soft bursts, the eyes liquid and deep behind the glasses...
"........"

In the next compartment over, a man with back gloves pulled out a cell phone. "Prepare your men; the bridge is coming up..."

Sabyien has his eyes closed, apparently asleep, he was in deep meditation. In his mind, a heightened sixth sense tensed as it always did before a battle. Quelling the feeling of brief excitement, the guardian unfolded his arms and stood up.

Seishurou wanted to see the second class and third class seats for himself; he really wasn't interested in staying put in his seat when the ride was long. With Tsukisou trailing along behind him, the boy wandered from the first class cars to the second class seats.
Tsukisou's heart was still pounding, the kiss still fresh in his mind.
After, Seishurou had suddenly announced that he wanted to take a walk, sending a pang of acute disappointment in his servant.
"So this is Second class..." Seishurou looked around,” At least it's closer to the dinning car. Let's go Tsuki." He was startled when a young man stepped in front of him. "Excuse me." Sei pushed rudely past the man.
Tsukisou gaped, this was that guy who- eep! Seishurou had reached back and grabbed his arm, yanking him along behind him. Looking back over his shoulder, he saw that the man giving them an amused smile. Tsuki smiled apologetically back.
A loud noise shot through the car, passengers began to scream at the gun fire rang out; the aisle was cleared in an instant, allowing the men in black jackets to pass through unhindered.
Seishurou held back a cry; Tsuki clung in close to him, frightened by the clamour.
"That's him, that boy!" One of the men called to his companions.
Another gun shot, this time it came from the man who had stood in his way just a moment before. His shot had hit the first man in front, causing confusion. He turned his head at the two boys. "GO! Get out of here now!" Scrambling for the door, the boys ran through the dining car.

Sabyien murmured a spell under his breath; he brought up a shimmering shield that stopped the bullets in its path to drop harmlessly to the floor. The guardian pushed the shield forwards, knocking back the men who sought to push pass the magical barrier.

Sabyien ran after the boys, calling for the confused passengers to get out of the way. He caught up to them when they reached the last passenger car. The Kinjyou-boy was trying to open the door, but it was locked!
"Move!" Sabyien pushed him out of the way and broke the lock with the butt of his gun. Kicking the door open he pushed both boys through to the luggage car. Making sure that they didn't see, Saby placed a spell on the door, to keep the would-be kidnappers from entering. Unfortunately, the spell was hurriedly done. It would not hold them for long.

"Seishurou Kinjyou!!"
Seishurou turned at his name, surprised that this man would know his name....His expression changed from surprise to curiosity. This man's eyes where the most dazzling deep blue he'd ever seen.
"Seishurou, those men, they want take you for ransom. I was sent by one of your father's business companions." Sabyien spoke quickly, to inform the Kinjyou-boy of the danger he was in. "We don't have alot of time to discuss this. I must get you off this train."
"How? This train's in the middle of nowhere!" the boy yelled incredulous.
"I'll find a way...." The man smirked.
Sei stared mutely, who did he think he was? Superman? "Listen, Who ever you are, I can take care of myself!"
"Against seven men with guns? I don't think so." The man shook his smiling at the boy's insistant glare.

The loud gun shots to the barred door made Seishurou wince, maybe the stranger was right, even he couldn't take them -all- on. "Alright, I'll do as you say.....but," Sei's eyes glowed with defiance. “You must promise to tell me everything you know about why this is happening."
"Agreed." The man nodded, 'This boy is clever and quick' Thought the guardian.
"Seishurou-sama, they are going to come through the door." Tsukisou's voice wavered.
The Kinjyou-boy turned to the stranger. ”What about Tsuki? What are they going to do him?"
"They are only after you; I don't think they'll harm him but...." He looked around for a hiding place for the other boy.
"How about in here?" Seishurou called, lifting the lid of an empty crate. The young man nodded and turned to push the other boy with the glasses into the open crate. "You stay here, just stay in hiding until the police find you...Keep quiet."
Tsukisou was trembling, but he did as he was told. "Se-Seishurou…" he whimpered.
"Tsuki, don't be a baby." Seishurou let the lid fall, catching Tsukisou's fingers.
Sabyien frowned and shook his head at Seishurou's treatment of the other boy.

The kidnappers were trying to break though the charmed door. Sabyien pushed the dark-haired boy ahead of him. "Go, to the back, hurry."
They made their way through the storage compartment; Sei looked back over his shoulder to the place where he left Tsukisou.
Sabyien opened the last door but stopped, there was no car here. The wind whipped his long hair about his face. The train was traveling too fast for the boy to make a jump.
"What the hell!?" Seishurou yelled above the clatter of the train, "This is no way out!!"
"Tell me something I don't know!" Sabyien growled back. "Here, up this ladder go!"
The Kinjyou-boy looked he was going to protest, but did as he was told.
Wincing as the wind threatened to push him from the train; Seishurou could feel the man was right behind him, using his body as a support against the rushing wind on the roof.
They stood and walked carefully along, looking for a way to escape.

The men had crashed though the last car; they followed the Guardian and his charge on the roof. Sei screamed when gunshots rang out, loud and seemingly close. He dropped to his knees. The man threw his body over the boy shielding him. Seishurou heard his protector return fire, then a sudden bolt behind him as he took a several bullets. Losing his grip on the gun, it fell to the roof and started to slide over the side. Blood began to pour down.

Though Tsukisou was afraid, he needed to know if his Master was all right, waiting only long enough for the kidnappers to pass by his hiding place. He bolted out of the crate and into the relative safety of the other passengers in the third class car. He heard noises on the roof and cringed when he heard the gunfire. Climbing his way to a window, he saw bright red blood dripping down the glass. Feeling his chest constrict, he looked out and saw only a bridge up ahead.

Sabyien groaned in pain, he could hear the men coming closer, where was his gun? Was he going to lose this one after all?...he was losing blood pretty fast.
The men in black jackets seemed to sense the guardian’s weakness, and like hyenas came closer with cautious steps.
Seishurou looked over the man's shoulder, in a near panic; he searched for the stranger's gun. Seeing it close the edge of the roof, the boy lunged for it and rolled on his back, his small fingers closing on the trigger. Saby flattened himself to the roof, covering his head as the boy's random shots caught a man in the shoulder, knocking him off the train. Seishurou kept shooting until it clicked, the bullets gone.
Sabyien looked up, ahead, the bridge spanning between the deep valleys cliffs. The cliffs were steep on both sides. This gave him an idea.
The sound of an approaching helicopter hastened his actions; Sabyien crawled to the edge of the roof and grabbed Seishurou.
"What are you doing?" Seishurou asked as the man pulled him closer. Saby inched closer to the edge; the sound of the helicopter came closer.
"We are going to take a ride off this train."
"What!?"
Putting his arms firmly around the boy he waited until the train's last car started over the bridge.
"Hold on tightly to me...what-ever happens don't let go."
"You’re going to jump?! YOU’RE INSANE!!!"
Sabyien tried to smile in spite the pain of his wounds. "Heh, Maybe I am."
Leaning back, he dropped off the roof and into the abyss between the cliffs, the wind was rushing his ears, as Seishurou screamed helplessly; he thought he heard Tsukisou's voice.

"SEISHUROU-SAMAAA!!!!!"
