Tangled Web is something like a sitcom that has been running for about four years now - except for whenever Uno comes to town, whereupon it suddenly becomes a soap opera - due to clashing timetables, currently only reruns are playing on the major stations, but all-new episodes have already been lined up. [So stay tuned, folks!]The series revolves around an ever-increasing group of overseas scholarship students domiciled in a boarding house in Singapore, and their adventures that mysteriously almost never have anything to do with studying.
Left to Right, Clockwise: Petr Cech [SD16 girl-to-boy mod Amelia], Chaitanya [SD FCS F09], Lin Si Ye [SD13 Touya v.2], Suiya Tsukisou [SD13 old-FCS F28],
Yanagi Mikoto [MSD FCS F03], Kinjyou Seishurou [SD13 old-FCS F28], Ruka [SD13 SwD Lucas], Tea [Yo-SD Kasumi],
Rennes Yanagi [temporary body here DD, permanent SD Tsukasa], Sanada Mikado [MSD FCS F08].
The entire tangled cast was herded into a publicity photoshoot sometime in April this year, but due to issues with image rights [you know how prima donnas get...] and a mysterious accident involving a chihuahua, a bischon frise, and the roll of negatives, footage of this event was sadly obscured until a happy coincidence at the vet's last week finally yielded these few shots, posted anywhere for the first time! Unfortunately, these photos are, as they are wont in this fast-paced world of showbiz, already somewhat out of date - most tellingly, our lead supporting actress has, uh, put on a few pounds and lost a couple of inches [read: finally got off the borrowed DD body and onto her own SD body...].The photographer [i.e. M] would also like to blame the abnormal lighting in the single shots on the erosion the negatives had suffered before the happy vet'incidence, or the tempest that was looming on the horizon threatening to break at the time. Either excuse will do.
Handy Pocket-Edition Character Guide
The narcissistic, conniving, manipulative aristocratic socialite playboy and pol. science major who, for better or worse [usually worse] is our main protagonist.
The protagonist's personal servant, secretary, cook, cleaner, babysitter, lit major and veritable Mary-Sue if it weren't for his pride and oddly, jealousy. He might've been our femme-fatale if he were, y'know, actually female.
The token minority [it's okay if you're the minority who's doing it, I think...] representation. Cosmopolitan gay Chinese med student/musicianwith a dead brother complex. Once Sei's worst enemy, now his best friend. Most of the time.
The prerequisite catatonic character, unable to recover from the traumatic loss of his best friend. He will remain asleep till the day his best friend returns, which, considering our finances, will be a very, very long time later...
The Charlie Brown of our resin set, who is meant to be stoic and dependable in school, but is ultimately just a bewildered wishy-washy bundle of nerves who probably wouldn't be able to survive a day without his best friend, Mikoto.
The deus ex machina who is Not Impressed. He is the only character who is fully aware that they are all merely fictional constructs. In spite of this, he still delights in mercilessly manipulating the stock market for his monetary benefit.
The girrrrrl. Devourer of cash, destroyer of credit. As Mikoto's sister, the only person so far who is able to make him demonstrate human emotion - in this case, unbridled fury. Technically a biz ad major in the States, so, yes, she's just here to mooch off the facilities.
The Indian computer science prodigy from Britain who moonlights as a DJ, has 12 siblings, and whose general pleasantness is really only marred by his inherited maniacal fervour for Chelsea FC.
The mysterious little girl who never speaks but appears highly intelligent. Mikado bought her home from 7-11 for seventy cents [so how come we had to pay $1k to bring her home from Y!J...].
