The setup of this booth was lovely, the clothes fantastically professional, with a lovely Anais and beauty-white Sweet Dreams Nana [though we tried not to think too much about the political and social impact].
But the real draw to the booth for us was the heart-breakingly cool Touya - who reminded us painfully of our loss.
Meanwhile...
We gave up on looking for Mainey.
Another booth with many adorable accessories -
- and a well-dressed Sweet Dreams Lucas.
There was, however, scarcely a set-up that could compare this booth's. The level of detail was amazing, the dolls attractive and full of personality. [We have since seen almost exactly the same setup at two or three other Dolpa's. XD;;]
Meanwhile...
Tsukisou : Oh dear...
Tsukisou : There's a run in my stocking...
T_T And it was brand new, too.
Also...
Yanagi : We give up.
The kids got tired.
Unexpectedly, we ran into a booth with Pocket Fairies!
We hadn't thought they were so small - they seemed to be using Sylvanian Family furniture.
The little setups were adorable.
By the time we found Gentarou Araki-san's booth, all the Unoa-Light were sold out.
There were also Unoa present, as well as extra faceplates for sale. [To this day, our only regret about Dolpa is probably not buying one of the faceplates while we were there.] What we didn't expect to see in person was Seishi-kun.
Jun and M have contrasting opinions about Gentaro Araki-san's Seishi-kun, who shows up regularly in many horrifyingly cute ways on his online diary. But it was amazing to see him anyway.
And finally...
A happy ending.
The biggest and best surprise was that we managed to get our darling Touya v.2 through sheer luck, coincidence and most of all, the wonderful care and concern Volks showed us, especially the lovely and incredibly accomodating Shigeta Shino-san. Armed with the camera, M was determined to capture as much as she could of this incredible experience, and produced a photo of one of the most memorable moments of that day and year - when Shigeta Shino-san opened the Touya v.2 box for us to see our Touya. We are eternally greatful and thankful to Volks, with their impeccable customer service, and to Shigeta Shino-san, for all that she has done for us. Thank you very, very much.
Stay tuned for the sixth part of our very exciting Japan adventure, where we recover from the bustle of Dolpa - and head to more Tenshi no Sumika!
