Japan 2004: Chapter 6 - Day 4: Ginza + Harajuku

After the excitement [and utter exhaustion] of Dolpa yesterday, we marked
our second last day in Japan instead with a scenic tour of Ginza and Harajuku.
Ginza and Harajuku's Tenshi no Sumika, that is.

Though the Ginza Sumika was reportedly small, it was nevertheless a must-visit.

For it was, after all, the Sumika of Sei and Tsuki's conception.

How utterly cliche for Sei to be conceived at Tokyo's business heart.

Though the Ginza Sumika *was* small, it had definite class. From the elegant barred door gate,
to the well-maintained displays [much of which had rare stock long sold out at other Sumika],
it remains one of our favourite Sumika despite its size.

Also, the fact that the lady employee in charge was extremely kind and allowed us this one
illegal photo of Sei and Tsuki in Sumika did not hurt. XD;;

P.S. To those who might visit Ginza someday, we left three photos in the Owner's photo album. See if you can spot Sei and Tsuki there!

The last time we were here at Meiji Jingu Bridge in Harajuku, the arena was packed with
Gothic Lolitas and JRock cosplayers, but since it was a weekday, not even indie musicians hawking
their self-releases remained.

But we got more than our fair share of eyecandy anyway - at the gorgeous Studio Alta
Tenshi no Sumika. Though it had been a lengthy walk from the station, it was worth every step.

Aside from the SR/Sumika combined at Akihabara, it might well be the largest Sumika
we'd visited in Tokyo.

Other than the glass-enclosed displays full of models like Sweet Dreams Lucases...

...and Captain Ceciles...

...there were also many more interesting and rare combinations of FCS experiments in the open.
Some of the prettiest one-offs that we have seen in Japan resided here, and to top it off,
there were quite a number of discount items here we had not seen elsewhere.
Though a discounted Volks outfit is still moderately expensive...

...There are still some things we can't resist. >D

Yanagi : I don't think this is funny at all.

Stay tuned for the last part of our very exciting Japan adventure, where...where nothing
actually happens, but it's the last part, anyway!
