America 2005: Chapter 18 - Los Angeles: Downward Spiral
Seishurou : Isn't this the pits?
Si Ye : ...Yes. Yes it is.
Seishurou : ...Is something wrong?
Si Ye : Of course not.
Seishurou : ....
* * * * * * * * * *
Seishurou : ...and even the toilet lock is broken. I never thought I would say this, but I almost wish I were back home.
Tsukisou : Uh-huh.
Seishurou : ...You sound a little distracted. Say, you're not doing anything I should know about, are you?
Tsukisou : Perish the thought, Seishurou-sama. As always, you have my undivided attention.
Seishurou : I'm sure.
Tsukisou : But of course.
Seishurou : And there's something else. I'm getting...well, not that I'd get worried about that brat, but...I'm noticing that Si Ye doesn't seem to be...how shall I put it...responding well to the surroundings.
Tsukisou : Seishurou-sama showing concern for Si Ye-sama? I must say I'm impressed.
Seishurou : Not - not concern, mind you. Just...just in case he snaps and comes after me with a steak knife. You never know with these types.
Tsukisou : Of course, how could I doubt. ...Well, Si Ye-sama was probably...acutely reminded of his loss in a setting so emblematic of his happier youth.
Seishurou : His brother, yadda yadda, yeah I know. What'm I supposed to do about that?!
Tsukisou : I'm afraid I have little in the way of a practical solution, sir. You will notice that we've never had the greatest batting average with aiding those in grief. Certainly I can imagine if we did, Ruka-sama wouldn't currently be in a dress.
Seishurou : Oh well. Queer Eye's a big boy. He can take care of himself.
Tsukisou : I'd, however, imagine that it might help if you dropped the derogatives.
Seishurou : Hey, can I help it if it's descriptive?
Seishurou : Maybe I'll take him out for a drink or something. Might as well enjoy our last night in America loading ourselves with booze.
Tsukisou : ...I suppose that's the most effective remedy you would consider, Seishurou-sama.
Seishurou : Yeah? It's not like you could think of a better idea.
Tsukisou : Point taken, sir.
Seishurou : ...
Seishurou : ...Tsukisou? I've...been thinking...do you - not, of course, that I would care, but...just...to satiate an idle curiousity...might you - possibly...I don't know...miss me, perhaps?
Tsukisou : ...My thoughts are always with you, Seishurou-sama.
Seishurou : ...Good. I mean - that's good to know. I...I suppose I'll end the call, I'll see you again soon enough.
Tsukisou : I'll be glad to have you home again, sir. Have a safe flight.
Seishurou : I guess I will take him for a drink.
*******
Seishurou : WHAT ARE YOU DOING?
Si Ye : None of your business.
Seishurou : IS THIS YOUR IDEA OF - OF DEALING WITH LOSS?!
Si Ye : Shut up.
Seishurou : WHORING YOURSELF OUT IN DOWNTOWN LA?!
Si Ye : Don't touch me -
Seishurou : IS THIS WHAT YOUR BROTHER TAUGHT YOU TO DO?!
Seishurou : BECAUSE I DON'T THINK MUCH OF HIM IF IT IS!
Si Ye : DON'T YOU DARE TALK ABOUT MY BROTHER!
Si Ye : Don't...you...
Si Ye : ...Don't...
Seishurou : ....
Seishurou : ...There, there.
Seishurou : ...While you're down there...
At least they're only Sleepless in Seattle - Sei and Si Ye next demonstrate why you shouldn't drink the night away, all Scandalous in LA...
